International Peace Day at the Sharon Temple

September 21 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

Youth from across East Gwillimbury will come together to understand their role in the peace process, and discuss how peace can be achieved through small acts in our own community.

Using the 5 senses as a way to start the conversation, we will look at all of the ways we can make a difference and how Canada became known as a “peacekeeping nation” and about Lester B. Pearson – former Prime Minister, long considered the father of modern U.N. Peacekeeping.
